Mudwires Curly Clay Cutting Wire

Mudwires are essential for slicing clay into manageable portions and cleanly removing pieces from the pottery wheel.

The coiled wire leaves an interesting, textured pattern. Use it for faceting to create striking surfaces on wood‑fired or salt‑fired pots, and under glazes that break—such as celadon or temeku. The coiled wire is compressed; pull it out to achieve the amount of curl you want.

Regular size wire extends to a maximum length of approximately 15"

Short wires are used for potters who work with small pieces, total length is approximately 9".
